Family Lawyer 9-12 month FTC - Leading London Firm - 3+ PQE
Our client, a leading London firm, are looking for a Family Lawyer to join them on a 9-12 month contract to cover a period maternity leave for an associate within their Ranked team. The firm are frequently observed for attracting City level work but still upholding a good work-life balance.
Sitting within the Top 100, our client's Family team advise on a full range of family and matrimonial law to cover financial implications, separation and divorce, and children arrangements. Their clients range from High Net Worth and High-Profile individuals, entrepreneurs, accountants, medical professionals, beneficiaries of offshore and onshore trusts as well as investment bankers. The team also advise on matters with an international element.
The successful individual will pick up a full caseload for a period of 9-12 months. The caseload will involve contentious and non-contentious family matters including: divorce, civil partnership, cohabitation, pre and post-nuptial agreements, complex financial disputes and jurisdictional issues as well as private law children matters to involve contact arrangements, residence, international relocation and child abduction.
Whilst working autonomously, support will be provided when required from a reputable and 'ranked' Partner within the team.
Applicants will need to demonstrate:
- Qualification as a Solicitor within England & Wales or another equivalent commonwealth jurisdiction
- Experience gained within a leading city practice or reputable regional firm
- The ability to handle a full family caseload as detailed above
- A passion for providing clear advice to clients
- The ability to handle sensitive matters with an empathetic and professional approach
- Have upwards of 3 years' experience in family law
