This firm is a leading full service commercial are ranked in the Top 200. They have grown year on year, in part due to several heavy-weight Partner hires. They have a growing International client

The firm have a reputation of nurturing and developing legal talent, 50% of all their Partners started at the firm as a trainee, it is this people focused approach which has given them an unrivalled staff retention rate.

They have a completely open-door policy with Partners seated throughout the open plan office with much more junior staff; this even applies to the CEO. You will find there is no hierarchy with even Paralegals being encouraged to share their thoughts. Just recently a Paralegal undertook a training session for a whole team including Partner.

The role

The firm is seeking to hire a Construction Lawyer into their West End office.

You will be joining a highly experienced team of eight people. This is an interesting role given it is dealing with both Contentious and Non-Contentious work, this will make for an interesting role and will not pigeon hole you early on in your career.

You will deal with a good quality of work, working side on side with Chambers ranked Partners. You will deal with SME right up to National companies. They deal with legal and industry support service from inception to completion of construction projects with specialist ability to advise clients during life of contract/project to avoid disputes or lessen impact on progress of project/costs. They carry out all standard non-contentious and contentious work as well as specialising in managing risk in bespoke procurement. They also have significant experience in adjudication both as tribunal and representing parties.

Their construction expertise spans across a range of sectors including commercial, industrial, healthcare, residential, retail and education.

This role comes with good prospects for progression.

Requirements:

  • You will be a Construction Lawyer with between NQ-5 years PQE
  • You will have sat at least one seat in Construction Law
  • If you are stronger on either contentious or non-contentious this is fine as you will have a good level of support and training
  • You should have first-class communication skills
  • Salary is very competitive, depending on your level of experience, plus an excellent benefits package and bonus structure
