Interim lawyer sought for a large international business, significant in its sector, with an established Leeds based legal team, for a project up to 6 months in duration.

This in house legal counsel role is focused around general business support and construction and engineering agreements. You will support bid teams in reviewing and negotiating agreements, deal with ongoing risk related matters and support in more general in-house activities. This will entail drafting, negotiating and advising on a range of commercial contracts such as service agreements, appointments, collateral warranties, novation agreements, and sub-consultancy agreements. As well as the core work, you will need that adaptability to undertake 'what ever crosses the desk' legal matters that any good in house legal counsel is happy to deal with (some dispute resolution, employment matters, property issues etc).

You will need to be confident with dealing with the business to provide proactive commercial advice based around their corporate appetite for risks and internal approval processes. An experienced approach is needed to support the business.

You'll need a strong commercial contracts background, ideally some in-house experience and training from a reputed commercial firm or organisation. You will need to be confident with dealing with the business to provide proactive commercial advice based around their corporate appetite for risks and internal approval processes.
