Employment Lawyer, 12 Month FTC (4/5 Days) - 4+PQE - London

We are working with a reputable Top 200 law firm in their search for an Employment Lawyer to cover a period of maternity leave. The role is due to start ASAP and will run for 1 year in duration and can be either full time, 5 days a week, or part time at 4 days a week.

The Employment team has been recognised by Chambers UK and the Legal 500 as a 'leading' team and work on behalf of both employers and senior executives.

The team provides trusted support for in-house legal counsel, senior executives and HR directors on a full spectrum of Employment advisory issues to include the drafting and negotiation of employment contracts and policies, recruitment, incentives, disputes, investigations, dismissals and litigation on issues to include breach of contract, unfair dismissal, whistleblowing and discrimination. The team also advise on the Employment aspects of transactions including IPOS and AIM listings, outsourcing and restructuring as well as share and business acquisitions.

Clients are both domestic and international and span across a range of industries such as banking and finance, natural resources, real estate, media and technology.

The successful candidate will enjoy working independently with a busy and varied caseload consisting of a full range of Employment matters as detailed above. They will be part of a closely-knit team and Partner support will be available where required. The firm has a flexible working policy and the successful individual will have the ability to work 1 day a week from home if required.

Due to the imminent start date, candidates should be available on short notice or immediately.

Candidates should be able to demonstrate:

• A strong background in Employment Law acting for employers and senior executives
• Capacity to provide advisory, contentious and corporate support advice on Employment matters
• Private Practice experience from a city practice or a rated regional firm
• Upwards of 4 years' experience in Employment Law
• A breadth of exposure and capacity to work autonomously
• A passion to deliver a strong service to clients
• An interest in working in an entrepreneurial law firm
