Managing Housing Solicitor (Charity)

This housing charity is in much need of an experienced Solicitor with previous experience of managing a legal team, to join them as the Managing Housing Solicitor.

You will have involvement in litigation casework but, as there is a fully functioning legal team in place, your main expectations will be to be part of the senior management team which incorporates other legal managers and, managers across London and the South East.

As and when required, you will also receive the support of an Legal Manager who oversees the UK's legal operations.

This is the type of position that requires a compassionate Solicitor, with a real interest in supporting the less fortunate, by helping them avoid the possibility of being left without a place of residence or, suffering consequences through ill health, whether mental and/or physical.

Everyone who works here enjoys collaborating with one another and as such, it would be expected that you will help to continue this ethos.

Other stakeholder interactions will included Local Authorities, engaging external counsel, and discussing cases with social services as and when required.

What can you offer?

• Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales;
• Previous management experience of a legal team;
• Previous housing litigation experience, preferably against local authorities and private landlords;
• A keen interest in working within the charity sector.
