In-House Lawyer - Not-For-Profit
An excellent opportunity has arisen for an In-House Lawyer seeking to work for a not-for-profit company.
The company are a trade body with over 10k members. They are high profile and can often be seen quoted in the news and lobbying parliament. The legal team is currently 3 people and this is a newly created role to expand the team and will report into the Head of Legal.
The successful In-House Lawyer can look forward to a varied role, the focus of which will be employment law related, but will also include general commercial, data protection, tax and insurance law.
Alongside this, the In-House Lawyer will be working closely with the legal helpline, producing model documents and training to answer queries from members, and support the policy and compliance teams, helping to develop and improve the code of practice and also shape the country’s policies.
The company are an inclusive employer and have excellent agile and flexible working systems in place from day 1. The team work really well together, the successful In-House Lawyer can look forward to taking ownership of a business group, but will always have the support from the team and the Head of Legal.
Previous employment law experience is essential for this role, but previous experience in-house is not. This could be a great opportunity for someone looking to make the move in-house from private practice. A strong interest in working for a not-for-profit is preferred.
