Head of Department - Family Law

The firm are seeking to hire a Family Head of Department into their flourishing Wokingham, Surrey office.
Although the family department is one of the smaller departments in the firm, it has an excellent reputation and has gone from strength to strength. You will work as part of a friendly, progressive and supportive team, you will lead this department and drive it forwards, working in partnership with the rest of the firm's management team.
This role would perhaps suit a candidate that is seeking a pathway for career progression, partnership is on the cards for the right candidate.
As well as running the department, you will run your own caseload of high-quality and often HNW privately funded family work. The scope of Family work will range from; divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, financial proceedings relating to divorce and dissolution of civil partnerships, all private children issues, including financial applications (Schedule 1), prenuptial agreements and pre-civil-partner agreements, advice for unmarried families, international aspects of separation and divorce.
- You will be a Family Solicitor with at least 7 years PQE (there is no upper limit in respect to the amount of PQE)
- You will have good experience of dealing with privately funded family work
- Experience of leading / mentoring more junior members of the team is to advantage but is not essential
- You will have first-class communication skills
