Job Details
This medium on-site legal time are based within the client's head office based in Reading and assist the inhouse legal function. As part of the commercial function, you will be involved in a wide range of commercial contracts matters.
Duties will include:-
- Supporting the client by giving clear advice and delivering practical solutions in a time and cost effective manner, mitigating all risk to the business.
- Advising the client on legal issues and any implications.
- Drafting, negotiating and reviewing a range of commercial agreements.
- Attending meetings and negotiations as legal adviser.
- Dealing with any disputes that arise from commercial contracts.
- Supervising paralegals and delegating work to the team. You will also be expected to provide training to the business and management teams.
The candidate will:-
- Have at least 5 years' PQE in commercial law - my client will accept applications from candidates with more or less experience.
- Be able to show experience of drafting, negotiating and reviewing a range of commercial documents.
- Be able to work autonomously and understand the client.
- ideally have inhouse experience, but this is not essential.
This will be to cover a period of maternity for 12 months starting from June 2019, but if you are available sooner, please still apply. In return, there is a very generous package on offer, as well as the chance to work alongside an inhouse legal team, on site.
