Our client, an innovative and entrepreneurial business, is seeking the assistance of a contract manager for a period of 12 months. The contract manager will be leading a team of commercial lawyers and paralegals on projects for international and blue-chip companies. The projects will have a specific focus on commercial sales, contract negotiation and procurement contracts.
The successful contract manager will act as a first port of call between the clients and the project's lawyers and paralegals. They will be overseeing a team of lawyers and paralegals working on commercial sales and procurement contracts; monitoring the progression of tasks and ensuring compliance is upheld; making sure that service level agreements and key performance indicators are met; presenting data and reports to clients; be focused on optimising resources; analysing processes and systems and highlighting any areas for improvement; handling escalations from the team and being responsible for the training and development of paralegals within the team.
Our client is open to considering applications from both Contract Managers as well as Commercial Lawyers with experience managing a team along with expertise in commercial sales/procurement contracts.
Key attributes will include:
- Experience in contract negotiation, particularly with regards to supplier and procurement contracts
- Willingness and ability to attend and present at client meetings: discussing updates and reports with respect to projects and the performance of the team
- Escalating matters and ensuring key deadlines and timeframes are adhered to
- Managing a team
- An open attitude to embracing an innovative and entrepreneurial environment
