This firm have a rich heritage dating back over 50 years, they are a multi-service, Top 100 practice. The firm are dynamic, entrepreneurial, forward-thinking and innovative. In recent years the firm has grown significantly.

The practice now stands at over 70 Partners and some 300 fee earners. They are multi-award winning and have a working culture which truly harnesses career growth and development. They have an ever-growing number of homegrown partners which demonstrates well the level of investment they provide to their staff.

The practice deals with such a wide variety of clients, ranging from technology SME, right up to multinational FTSE 250, household names.

The firm is well managed, with a strong leadership team. Partners are more accessible than in other similar sized firms, even down to the open plan seating. This way of working has helped more junior Lawyers to obtain a level of PQE ahead of there years.

You will find a working environment that is professional, friendly, entrepreneurial and supportive. There is a nice social scene where there are always several events on a weekly basis, despite the firms size they have a nice family feel running throughout.

The role

The firm are seeking to hire a Data Protection Senior Associate / Partner into their flourishing Guildford City Centre office.

You will lead the data protection / privacy department and will be at the forefront of this industry leading team, you will work with the other Partners to drive the department forwards.

You will work as part of a highly ranked legal 500 team. The team is busy and has had an influx of new work, making now an exciting time to join.

You will deal with high-quality work which will include; Data protection, privacy and reputation management work.

Requirements

  • You will be a Data Protection Solicitor with a minimum of 8 years PQE (there is no upper limit in regard to the amount of PQE, applications are encouraged from even the most experienced of candidates)
  • Experience of managing and mentoring more junior colleagues is to advantage, but is not essential
  • You should have first-class communication skills
  • Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your level of PQE, you will also receive an industry leading benefits package
