A large global US manufacturing business operating in over 120 countries.
The Position (some of the responsibilities):
Member of the EMEA legal team. Responsible for providing full legal support to our clients operations in France, covering all Business Units (i.e. Operations, Refinish, Industrial, Transportation, Marketing) and day to day issues supporting the local team. In addition to being the main legal contact in France, the Senior Legal Counsel will be covering the Industrial Business across Europe, supporting with contract negotiations, distribution law, competition law and working closely with the business as their legal-partner.
Other responsibilities:
· Participate in the review, drafting and negotiation of a broad range of commercial agreements, including supply and sales agreements, distribution, sales rep agreements, etc.; provide general commercial advice on specific or proposed transactions; work closely with the General Counsel to keep local templates properly updated according to internal rules and French legislation.
- Advise European country business leaders as well as key account managers on a full spectrum of legal issues and matters.
- Coordinating the legal department by supporting the business locally and providing continued templates and procedures in local language.
Requirements:
- Qualified lawyer with experience within an international law firm or international company with extensive in-house experience in the region. Experience in commercial, contract management and corporate law, as well as managing outside counsel. Preference for experience in distribution law and competition law. Fluent in English and French is essential.
