2-5 PQE International Arbitration Associate – US Firm
ETC Search is an independent boutique consultancy solely focused on the energy, trade and commodities sectors. This perspective enables us to source the most talented corporate infrastructure professionals, with a particular emphasis on legal and compliance.
CLIENT
Our client, a US firm, has offices across America, Europe and Asia. The London office has a rich history and an extremely enviable client base across its core practice areas, Dispute Resolution being one of them. Within Disputes, the International Arbitration team has played a key role in cementing this firm’s reputation as one of the ‘go to’ places for a variety of disputes including commercial and investment treaty arbitration.
POSITION
Over the years, this group has steadily built a ‘best in class’ team with partners and associates from some of the most recognisable names in the international arbitration space. The role is to sit as part of a small, but growing and close-knit group of partners and associates. Working on a variety of commercial and investment treaty arbitrations (40/60 currently), you will be given large amounts of responsibility and the opportunity to learn and develop your skill set alongside leading partners.
The team work on cases in a variety of sectors, in a variety of jurisdictions. They have particular expertise of working on cases in the oil, gas, construction, mining and telecoms sectors.
The team operates an extremely flexible approach to work; working from home is not a problem. However, they operate a ‘reciprocated trust’ system, whereby if trust is given, delivery on work is paramount.
CANDIDATE
The successful candidate will ideally have between 2-5 year of post qualified experience, gained at a leading firm. Exposure to arbitrations under a variety of fora including ICC, LCIA, ICSID and UNCITRAL is preferable. Ability to speak a second language (particularly Spanish) is desirable, but again, not a prerequisite.
