Senior Legal Counsel - In-House Corporate Advisory Lawyer
Our client, a leading international banking institution, has instructed us to search for an experienced corporate lawyer to join their Group Corporate Legal team.
The position is a non-transactional, strategic advisory role sitting in the bank's head office, advising business leaders on a range of legal and commercial matters concerning the daily running and functioning of the bank. As the role is not product or business group aligned, there is genuine breadth and the successful candidate will be able to enjoy a variety of different work-streams and be involved in key decisions affecting the entire group.
This would be an ideal role for a lawyer with strong corporate law experience who wants a more general, high-level, strategic in-house role and is looking to avoid transactional roles that are heavy on document churn. In terms of level, the position would suit a lawyer with circa 5-10 years' PQE gained in private practice or in-house. Financial services experience would be helpful, though candidates with experience in other regulated sectors may have transferrable experience and are therefore encouraged to apply. Key experience our client is looking for includes UK company law, listing rules, takeover and governance code.
