Corporate Senior Associate - Manchester
This firm is a real breath of fresh air in the local market. Having established itself a number of years ago, it is in the process of mirroring wider growth across the country and investing heavily in its Manchester office.
There has been no overreaching or growth for the sake of it. Work demands and client needs have driven growth and this piece of recruitment is no exception.

The corporate team in Manchester is relatively small (but there is underpinned with a larger national practice group). As always small can always be beautiful and given that this role sits at the Associate or Senior Associate level the scope for partner progression is fantastic.
The primary driver to recruit at this level is to allow the lead partner great scope to be able to go out and develop new work. As a consequence, someone stepping into the role won't need to be bringing a following - that being said, the nature of the firm is such that they will want you to have the desire to be involved in business development.
There will be a good level of responsibility and involvement in work and so a certain degree of experience and ability to act with autonomy is preferred. It is why the natural preference is for someone with upwards of 4 years PQE not least as this will provide a good fit within the team.
There is no silo mentality and you will be encouraged to take ownership of work and clients and in turn promoted to attract your own work and clients. An appetite for business development is a must but you won't suffer the frustration of not being supported in that endeavour. Everyone in the firm does it so you'l have a great team around you all pulling in the same direction.
This is a really refreshing alternative with well thought out ambitions.
