Boutique commercial law firm providing high quality, specialist legal services, relating to company commercial, debt recovery, litigation, employment and family, to private clients, businesses and companies in the pharmacy, healthcare and property sectors,.This small to medium firm is currently made up of 4 Partners, between 15 to 20 Fee Earners and a handful of support staff, which makes for a very approachable, friendly and collegiate working environment.
Your new role
This firm is seeking a Paralegal to join the commercial debt recovery and litigation department based in London. In this role you will get exposure to handing cases both pre-action and in court and will be responsible for taking on duties in line with this, including preparing claims documents & court proceedings, handing a small claims files without supervision, regularly liaising with clients and other clerical tasks.
What you'll need to succeed
To qualify for this position, you must be educated to degree level (or equivalent), preferably have the LPC, and have sufficient knowledge of Civil Procedure Rules, debt recovery procedures and general criminal law. You must have a minimum of one years' experience working in a similar position for a private practice law firm. Further, you must be familiar with electronic case management systems and have excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
