Your new company
A international firm, with a long-established history specialising in UK corporate immigration, immigration law and property search. The firm provides a high-quality service which is displayed through their robust international connections, as they have offices situated over the world. They are now looking for an Immigration Paralegal to join their corporate immigration team. There is potential for the candidate to gain a training contract if the solicitor is impressed with the work they are doing. A paralegal joined in October and is currently being offered one.



Your new role
Your responsibilities will fall into three main areas: case work, client facing support and administrative duties. You will be responsible for drafting documents, dealing with immigration applications, preparing files, and acting as a case worker when required. You will be working with tier 1 and tier 2 applications, From day one, you will be expected to liaise on client matters like face-to-face meetings and offering sound, pragmatic case advice. You will also carry out general administrative day to day duties, be responsible for diary management including arranging appointments for clients and completion of standard emails and letters.


What you'll need to succeed
To be considered for this role, you will need prior experience working with point-based VISA applications (tier 1 and tier 2 especially), business immigration. You will hold a minimum 2:1 degree in Law (or an appropriate conversion). You will preferably have one years' Paralegal experience working in an immigration team. You should have excellent administration and organisational skills, inducing diary management and good time keeping. Finally you should be able to work in a small team and independently, managing your own workload and be methodical in your approach.
