Derivatives Lawyer – Leading European Investment Bank, 12m Contract

Our client, a leading European investment bank, is looking for an experienced lawyer to join their securities issuance team on a 12-month contract. This role will provide legal, advisory and transaction execution support in relation to the use of securities issuance programmes and third party programmes.

Responsibilities

  • Preparation of programme securities issuance documentation and management of the closing process
  • Advisory support (in general and in respect of particular specialisms) to all business areas globally that wish to issue programme securities.
  • Where necessary instruct and interact with outside counsel
  • Keep up to date with market and regulatory developments; assist with assessing the impact of regulatory and market infrastructure changes and developing new processes to deal with such changes.
  • Implement any new regulatory standards affecting documentation as directed.
  • Work on specific projects in relation to the programmes, new products or securities issuance in general
  • Work with other groups covering wider regulatory, non-transactional matters affecting securities products and, particularly, their distribution in the market.

Skills and Qualifications

  • 3+ years PQE from a law firm or investment bank working on derivatives and/or capital markets with some derivatives experience.
  • Particularly experience of structured securities, notes, warrants and certificates, listing of securities and the related regulatory issues would be beneficial.
