Nexus have been briefed on an exciting opportunity with a leading law firm in Sydney who are looking for an experienced construction disputes lawyer to join their top-tier practice.

This role will offer the successful candidate exposure to some of the most complex and high-profile construction disputes, working closely with the broader regional team elsewhere in Australia and internationally. Your main tasks will involve: advising on construction and projects disputes; preparing claims for ARD and litigation proceedings; preparing formal legal opinions; business development and client relations.

Our client have a well-established progression framework, outlining specific expectations and opportunities for promotion.

The ideal candidate for this role will already have acquired a high level of construction and project litigation experience, and as such, will be comfortable leading and mentoring more junior members of th team. You will ideally have between 3 and 8 years' of experience within a top-tier firm, or another well regarded construction team within private practice or in-house.

Candidates that are not yet admitted in Australia but are admitted to practice law in another common law jurisdiction, will be considered for this role. In order to be considered as an overseas qualified lawyer, you must demonstrate a strong technical ability in construction and projects related disputes with an internationally recognised law firm. You must also show a strong desire to relocate to Australia.
