In House – General Counsel – Corporate Commercial Lawyer - Technology Company - 7+pqe - London

Our client, a cutting edge technology business, has a mission to humanise the digital engagement experience of buying products and services on line. This dynamic organisation with a strong culture and a focus on innovation is offering a fantastic opportunity for a senior corporate / commercial lawyer to head their group legal function as General Counsel in London.

This is a challenging and rewarding position which will involve supporting all the company’s operational business and group functions, working closely with the company's external legal advisors and advising the senior management, across the company, providing strategic and commercial legal advice. Reporting directly to the CFO, your responsibilities will include managing and/or advising on a wide range of legal issues (including commercial contracts, entity set-up, employment issues ), governance, compliance (including GDPR), and company secretarial matters.

Candidates will need to have 7+ years post qualification experience in general commercial law and in particular SaaS based businesses.

This role will involve the drafting and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements (including NDAs, software licensing, partnership agreements and services agreements) as well as the support and/or management of corporate work such as M&A, share issues and compliance with investor covenants

The role has one direct report and is paying a competitive salary + bonus and shares.
