A fantastic opening has arisen for a junior associate with one of the City's leading mid-size firms.
The financial services regulatory team supports a broad range of clients including banks, insurers, payments firms, e-money issuers, crypto businesses, fund managers, P2P lending platforms and trading platforms.
Clients include large international banks and exchanges as well as innovative start-up and scale-up businesses. The team is known for its strengths in Fintech, payment services, insurance, exchanges and e-money among other areas.
The role
The position requires a junior qualified solicitor to join and support the team on regulatory matters. The diet of work will be varied and will include assisting on applications for FCA authorisation, drafting policies, advising clients on aspects of FCA and PRA rules, negotiating outsourcing and product distribution agreements, advising on the requirements of various EU Directives (including MiFID ii, PSD2, the Benchmarks Regulation and the Insurance Distribution Directive) and providing AML guidance.
The candidate
The ideal candidate will have around 1-3 years' PQE gained at a leading UK or international law firm. Candidates with in-house experience (including the FCA) will be considered also.
Pre-requisites for this role include an outstanding academic record allied to proven experience gained in a financial services regulatory team or its in-house equivalent.
