Unique In-House Role - Banking Lawyer - International Financial Institution - Switzerland - 5+PQE

My client is a Global and world renowned financial institution looking to hire an experienced banking lawyer from the Asian market on a permanent basis. 

The successful candidate will join a small group of an top quality and experienced lawyers advising on legal matters relating to the Bank's activities.

Key responsibilities include - 

Supporting the banking operations, primarily for the Banking Department, include providing advice, assistance in the drafting of contracts and other documents, and participating in negotiations relating to:

• the banking operations of the bank (such as investments with commercial banks, purchases of money market and fixed income instruments, repurchase and derivatives transactions, collateralization, custody and other operational arrangements)
• investment services for central banks (such as investment management agreements and custody arrangements)
• central bank facilities and bridging finance (such as credits secured against gold or currency deposits, unsecured credits and escrow agreements)
• the various functions of the Bank as trustee, fiscal agent or depository with regard to international loan agreements
• legal, regulatory, tax and prudential issues
• The successful candidate would be expected to focus on legal matters arising in conjunction with the Bank's investments and financial operations in Asia Pacific in particular

A strong candidate must have studied at a top university (Ivy League, Oxbridge etc), and worked at a top US law firm,magic circle firm or financial institution within the Asia-Pacific market.
