Competition Partner
This highly profitable leading US firm is right up there in terms of both its reputation and its PEP. There is a clear requirement in London to bring in a first rate Competition partner or team. The focus is on both Merger Control, supporting international deals where the firm is currently referring work elsewhere, and on Behavioural matters. The antitrust partners in the US operate in the top tier and are keen to offer high-end capability to clients in London. Given the levels of profitability, incoming equity partners are looked at to bring a significant track record and client/contact list (equity partners run a practice of $5m+ and it is envisaged that this will be an equity position). The firm offers a great platform, a full service London office, other European offices (some with competition capability) and access to a superb international client base. It operates a transparent meritocracy which makes it a compelling platform for highly successful partners.
