Rare Opportunity for IP Litigation Associates (0-4 PQE) to Earn Full New York Rates – £150,000+

We have been instructed by a prestigious US firm in London on a drive to recruit junior and mid-level associates into its nascent Intellectual Property team.

This is a truly unique opportunity to play a key role in the development of the practice as well as earning the highest salary possible in the London legal market.  London associates are paid in line with the ‘Cravath scale’ that firms in New York and the US adhere to, meaning that first year (NQ) associates are currently on around £145,000 and fourth years are on over £200,000.

The firm is among the top 5 or so US firms in London in terms of the extent and quality of its general offering that covers mainstream transactional and contentious areas as well as more specialist teams, such as Intellectual Property, which has been earmarked for significant investment and growth over the short to medium term.

Within the IP practice, there is a focus on patent litigation and especially within big-ticket pharmaceutical and life sciences matters, where the partners have well-established relationships with many of the leading blue chip companies in the field.

As such, there is a desire to recruit candidates who have direct experience in hard-IP litigation, particularly within the pharma/life sciences sector. 

The position is open to candidates with 0-4 PQE, so candidates qualified in 2018-2014 are welcome to apply.  NQs who have completed a seat in hard-IP will also be considered, and there is a preference for science degrees at undergrad level although this is not required.
