Blue Chip Sponsor-side Leveraged Finance – US Firm recruiting for Mid-Level Associates (2-5 PQE)

We have been instructed on a role with the banking department of one of undoubtedly the most prestigious New York-headquartered firms in London. 

The firm is one of the few to pay its London lawyers in line with the New York ‘Cravath’ salary rate and bonus scale. 

Known to be a leader in the private equity sphere, much of the work that the banking department undertakes is on the sponsor side – advising on LBOs and other sophisticated high-yield acquisition financings.

The firm compensates all of its London associates at rates set at the top of the New York scale, and while associates are expected to work hard when they are given work by the partners, there are no billing targets or ‘face-time’ culture.

Associates joining from the Magic Circle will see a substantial increase in responsibility as they will often be attending meetings with client and working directly with a specific partner as the only associate working on a deal.
