Your new company
London-based Silver Circle law firm, advising national and multinational legal markets across a full range of legal services. The Banking and Finance group has exceptional experience working in restructuring and insolvency, real estate finance, structured finance (including securitisation and CLOs) and much more. The banking and finance team is comprised of but not limited to seven partners and 23 solicitors and five Paralegals thus provide great exposure to high quality work.
Your new role
This firm is seeking a Paralegal to join the banking and finance team as soon as possible. You will be working closely with the banking and finance fee earners. You will predominately be providing transactional assistance and other ad hoc duties. In terms of transactional assistance, you will be responsible for production of revised drafts of finance documents using as a reference previously negotiated and agreed documents, signing and closing arrangements for financing transactions (including drafting completion agendas, arranging signatories, checking quorum of directors and arranging for execution of finance documents), the preparation of post-completion documentation bibles. In terms of additional duties, you will be working with the banking and finance professional support lawyer, who reports directly to the head of banking and finance and assisting with billing procedures, working with fee earners and our billing co-ordinators to ensure that matters are billed accurately and on time.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role you will must have strong academic qualifications including a 2:1 law degree, the Legal Practice Course (or equivalent) and at A-level. You must have a minimum of 1 years' work experience and additionally must have banking Paralegal experience. Previous Paralegal experience working within a banking and finance team will be looked upon favourably you will also need excellent written and oral communication, drafting and research skills.
