TV PRODUCTION LAWYER: PRODUCTION/SCRIPTED/TV FINANCE

Our client is one of the leading, independent TV production companies in the UK.

The team are looking for a scripted content specialist with a focus on drama and comedy. You will join their Head of Business Affairs and another specialist lawyer. They manage the legal and business affairs operations across all programming, including current and future labels.

This person will be joining with a view to managing a specific, and very large scale, drama which will be shot in the US, South Africa and Eastern Europe.

The role will be for a 3 day week and will need someone who can start relatively quickly. The contract will be for approximately 2 years.

This is largely a production role as the financing and the structuring will likely be completed. The successful candidate will need to be someone experienced in scripted TV and who can project manage a complex network of lawyers. Experience of shooting in the US would be an advantage but is not essential. You must have a deep knowledge of TV development, production and distribution particularly in the area of scripted TV.

The successful candidate will need to be commercial, dynamic, technically excellent and approachable as well as highly responsive.
