Hong Kong: Corporate M&A / Private Equity / Capital Markets Snr Associate (4+ PQE) – Dynamic US Firm

We are working with a preeminent US firm in Hong Kong that is looking to recruit a senior associate into the Corporate department.

The firm’s preference is for UK, US or Australian/New Zealand qualified lawyers and there is no requirement for Chinese language skills in this hire.

The firm has a preeminent reputation for advising on transactions involving global and regional heavyweights in the private equity sector, blue chip corporates and investment banks. 

The team in Hong Kong advises clients on their interests in the Asia-Pacific region and brings specialist expertise in complex cross-border transactions including LBOs, M&A, joint ventures, and capital markets transactions. 

There is an extremely high bar to entry at this firm and the partners will only consider candidates from the Magic Circle, White Shoe or other top-tier practices. 

Candidates with the requisite firm background should have general corporate M&A experience as well as ideally some experience of private equity transactions and capital markets, and will have at least 4 years post-qualified experience.

Whilst Chinese language skills are not required, Mandarin or Cantonese fluency will be seen as an advantage, as would a personal connection to Hong Kong or China.
