Legal Counsel - Commodities - Investment Bank

Highly regarded investment bank is seeking a Legal Counsel to join their Commodities, Credit & FX team on an initial 6 month contract commencing ASAP based in Central London.

As part of a busy team you will have a broad remit responsible for legal structuring, advisory and transaction execution for the business line in respect to a range of fixed income, commodity derivatives and structured products including:

- commodities, credit, FX and rates

- securitisation, swap and option transactions, notes, warrants, certificates

- leveraged and distressed loan trading

- Islamic derivatives

- inventory financing metals, gas and oil products

You will also be required to:

- review terms sheets, advise on legal risk and assess potential transactions

- post-trade transaction work

- coordinate execution of transactions with the Banks clients and traders

- monitor ongoing legal, regulatory and market developments

To be considered for this position you will be 4+ years PQE with relevant previous experience in a similar role. You must be available to commence at short notice, be able to demonstrate a high level of technical knowledge and have confident stakeholder management skills.
