Job Details
Our client is a funding company at the forefront of its technology, located in the hub of Central London. The appointment of Senior Legal Counsel is important to the ongoing growth of the senior management team.
Previously, your experience will reflect a career in a reputable law firm practising in Capital Markets or Structured Finance with a knowledge of Securitisation. Ideally, you will have now moved into an in-house role working with a Lender where you sit as part of the in-house legal team or your law firm experience will include requisite secondment experience.
Ideally you will have:
- Lender experience and have a solid undertanding of working in a regulated contracts environment.
- Experience working at the front of the funding process of debt finance.
- An understanding of the securitisation process.
- An ability to work across teams working closely to ensure legal risk is managed.
- An understanding of systems and processes with respect to consumer and lender finance.
- Have experience working with small to medium businesses and individuals.
- Worked with and manage external counsel and reporting on legal spend.
- Previous experience meeting / presenting on legal issues to senior stakeholders / committees.
- An ability to work across a business with respect to ongoing business initiatives and projects.
- An astute commercial sense and an ability to communicate pragmatically.
- Accumulated private practice and in-house experience of around 7+ years post qualified.
