Job Details
This role is working for a popular news channel with hours of live programming internationally from their London studios.
The role works closely with the senior lawyer advising across all aspects of their EMEA business. Key responsibilities include all legal aspects relating to commercial matters such as distribution, service, licensing and advertising and sponsorship agreements. The role advises on Editorial issues on the regulatory environment including requirements of the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, the BCAP Code and the ASA Codes in relation to programming, advertising and sponsorship. You will also support on dispute resolution and also be responsible for ensuring compliance with laws and regulatory requirements in EMEA.
IP law experience would be advantageous and an understanding of concepts of trade mark law and copyright principles as you will advise on enforcement of the business' IP rights and brands.
There is also some company secretarial and general admin duties.
This is an immediate start for 3 months with the opportunity to go permanent. Start date 18th Feb.
