Senior Legal Counsel – Software and Cloud Tech – Surrey

We are seeking a senior legal counsel on behalf of our client, a technology business specialising in cloud computing. As a result of their continuing expansion, we are looking for a talented, self-motivated, and proactive commercial lawyer with a strong competition law background, who can add measurable business impact by acting as a trusted advisor.

The successful candidate will be providing support to the legal team to draft, review and negotiate a broad range of complex commercial agreements with their channel partners and distributors, including software license, cloud computing, cloud services and professional services contracts. You will be acting as a trusted advisor to the leadership and associated business teams and provide ongoing counsel while bringing ideas that help define broader business strategy and direction. Also, you will act as a fiduciary for the company; work in collaboration with PSLT & the Ethics & Compliance functions to emphasize and foster a culture of integrity and compliance. 

You will have at least eight years PQE, ideally in competition law in the EU and the technology sector. A working knowledge and flare for dealing with complicated channel agreements and cloud services, privacy and cybersecurity matters would be considered an asset.
