Commercial Counsel – Start Up Tech – London

We are seeking a commercial lawyer on behalf of our client, a tech business in the heart of London. You will be part of a rapidly growing team, with a very large impact on the business as a whole. Therefore, we’re seeking someone with a curiosity and hunger for learning and happy to “roll sleeves up” and turn your hand to anything.

You will be working closely with all members of the legal department globally on a wide range of commercial legal issues across the company. The successful candidate will proactively identify and support process improvements within the legal team to help optimise and drive excellent and efficient legal support as well as be able to pick up and advise on appropriate actions for any commercial agreement supply or demand side. You will coordinate the rollout and update of legal terms, policies and product features across our global business, and effectively and efficiently manage external legal counsel to handle contentious matters and achieve regulatory and policy objectives.

The successful candidate will have at least 4 years of PQE in the commercial department at a leading law firm or in-house function. You will have exceptional business judgement and creativity, be comfortable dealing in ambiguity and have strong communication and interpersonal skills.
