Policy lawyer, Retail Litigation
A well known financial services organisation have created a new role for a lawyer to lead on policy management within their litigation function. The role has been created as the organisation want to ensure that the policies they have in place are as effective and efficient as possible whilst insuring that they are aligned with the correct financial services law and reg requirements.
You will work closely with the wider litigation team, with a particular focus on the retail litigation side and you will ensure that the management of retail litigation cases fall align within policy. This will relate to court Orders, Collections and Recoveries, Restructuring, Mortgages, Fraud Operations, Corporate Insurance and Property. You will design, implement and maintain the retail litigation policies and any standards relating to those. You will manage BAU policy processes and assist the team with the management of complex retail litigation cases. This role can be based either in Manchester or Milton Keynes.
As a qualified lawyer with at least 1 year PQE you will have proven litigation experience. Any policy experience will also be highly desirable.You will have had some exposure to retail banking litigation but the client is open to other litigation experience. You will be comfortable being based in Manchester or Milton Keynes (working from home is available one day per week) and you will have strong communication skills.
