Legal Counsel, NQ - 3 PQE global British brand

Arbuthnot Yon are working with an iconic British business which sells its products globally.  An opportunity has arisen for a Legal Counsel to join the legal team and undertake a varied commercially focused role that will see you working with all areas of the business including finance, procurement, marketing, sales and operational business teams both in the UK and Internationally.

Reporting into the Senior Legal Counsel you will be responsible for the provision of general commercial legal, regulatory compliance and risk management advice to the Group.  Although commercially focused you will be able to get involved in a wide range of legal areas including general commercial law, commercial contracts, intellectual property, litigation, data protection, consumer protection, product liability, competition law, anti-bribery & corruption and HSE.  You will also work closely with the Senior Legal Counsel assisting with the development of key legal & compliance policies, procedures, guidance materials and toolkits as part of continuing to develop of the legal function.

This role is a great first time in-house move to join a blue-chip business where you will be supported and guided by more experienced lawyers. The office culture is friendly and relaxed and you will have lots of interaction with the wider business. 

This position would be suited to a with approximately (NQ-3 PQE) from a commercial, corporate, litigation or property background who is keen to move into a business and have a commercially focused role where you will build and maintain strong relationships between Legal and commercial colleagues across the organisation, including the commercial teams and senior stakeholders.

This position is centrally located in the Midlands and commutable from Birmingham, Nottingham, Leicester, Northampton, Coventry and Warwick areas.
