An exciting new position has arisen for a commercial / non-contentious IP lawyer with experience in general commercial contracts. You will provide accessible, commercial and technically strong advice to the business.  Responsibilities will include reviewing, drafting, negotiating and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts including for software; drafting and advising agreements for development of websites and apps. You will also be required to provide advice on copyright and trade marks to the publishing divisions as required.

To be successful you must have a strong academic background and trained at a highly regarded law firm. Ideally you will have also completed an in-house secondment or currently be working in-house.

You will have the ability to work autonomously, think strategically and creatively and communicate clearly and precisely. You must be enthusiastic, proactive, enjoy working hard and being challenged, and demonstrate sound judgment. You will be able to work in a fast paced environment and become an integral part of the Hachette legal team.
