Employment Lawyer 2+ *International Firm*

The Employment Group at this international firm is independently recognised as one of the best and most experienced teams in the country, offering both national coverage from the UK offices and an international offering through their employment specialists around the world.  They are looking for an employment associate to join the team.

They act as trusted advisor to a number of leading FTSE blue chip organisations (both in the UK and internationally).  Clients rely upon them to help them not only with technical legal issues but also to act as true business partners, understanding the particular challenges and opportunities within their respective sectors and businesses.

The London office regularly deals with cutting edge claims, projects and corporate transactions for a variety of blue chip corporates and financial institutions. The work regularly involves an international dynamic, working closely with colleagues in the international offices. The London team also regularly advises clients in relation to executive level employment law such as senior level recruitment and termination, executive compensation arrangements, bonus claims and enforcement of restrictive covenants. Within the Financial Services sector, they regularly advice financial institutions on a variety of these issues against the backdrop of the wider FCA regulatory regime.

The successful candidate must be English qualified and will have gained a minimum of two years employment law experience in either a large commercial legal, City or international firm, building up technical and market knowledge and with specific experience of dealing with strategic employment law advice, cross-border issues, and senior executive/board room issues. The role will also involve litigation (Employment Tribunal and High Court) and investigations work (for example, supporting our white collar crime team with the HR aspects of regulatory investigations). In addition to the contentious practice they also have a thriving non-contentious practice and the successful candidate would also have the opportunity to help  clients deliver solutions within the M&A and outsourcing space, so an appetite for this type of work would be beneficial.

The role presents an excellent opportunity for an employment  lawyer who is looking to move to a firm who are commercially aware and are innovative in their approach (particularly in the use of technology) to finding solutions for clients.
