About Us
Our client is one of the UK’s leading national law firms which offer a unique collection of specialisms across many sectors. They now have the need for a Risk and Compliance Lawyer to join their well-respected in-house legal team based in either Nottingham or Birmingham.
The Opportunity
As a Legal Counsel in a well-respected and highly experienced legal team, you will work alongside the Head of risk and compliance in identifying and managing the firm’s regulatory compliance and professional risk. You will be required to evaluate the firm’s compliance with the SRA Handbook as well as other relevant rules and regulations, recommend ways to strengthen the internal risk structure and provide support, education and training to build risk awareness in the firm. The role will provide you with an abundance of learning opportunities as a result of working in a varied and dynamic results-driven legal team.
About you
This is an excellent opportunity for a compliance-minded and pro-active lawyer with experience in managing multiple tasks. You will also need to have a strong attention to detail and the ability to build a strong relationships with a varied team.
