The Role

The firm is seeking to hire a Planning and Environment Solicitor with 2 - 6 years PQE to join their Manchester City Centre team.

The Planning and Environmental team undertakes a huge variety of both contentious and non-contentious matters. Many of the team's high profile and significant matters have been watched closely by the sector.

This role will have you working as part of the team to support the Partner in Manchester and advising on matters such as complex planning applications, section106 agreements, section 278 agreements

  • general planning advice in respect of major development schemes in the waste sector, the affordable housing sector, as well as the private developer sector, acting for planning authorities in relation to CPO work, enforcement issues, High Court litigation and public inquiry work, judicial review, planning and environmental due diligence on commercial and corporate transactions, advising developers, funders and purchasers on contaminated land and remediation liability, providing advice on invasive species and protected species and advice in connection with the environmental impact assessment process.



You will also assist in the future development of the firm's planning and environmental offering outside London.

Requirements:

  • You will be a Planning and Environment Solicitor with at least 2 years PQE
  • This role comes with excellent prospects for career growth
  • You will have good client facing experience
  • Strong technical knowledge is essential
  • You will have excellent technical knowledge
  • Salary is above market rate and negotiable depending on your level of experience.
