A new opportunity has been created within Formula 1’s in-house Trade Mark team. Formula 1 has the exclusive global rights to commercialise the FIA Formula 1 World Championship, the world’s most prestigious motor racing competition and the world's most popular annual sporting series. With over 500 million fans globally, F1 is broadcast in more than 200 territories world-wide. The long-established Trade Mark team, integrated within the Group Legal function, is located in brand new offices in the heart of the West End. Having managed a re- brand and the expansion of the Trade Mark portfolio, the department is growing which has prompted the need for a further Trade Mark Lawyer.

Main Duties and Responsibilities
The Trade Mark team comprises of a Department Manager, Senior Counsel (dual qualified lawyer and Chartered Trade Mark Attorney), Chartered Trade Mark Attorney and two CITMA Paralegals. Reporting to the Department Manager, the role will encompass the prosecution and maintenance of the global trade mark registration and domain name portfolios for the Formula 1 brand, as well as the drafting and reviewing of various types of agreements. The Trade Mark Lawyer would work closely with the Trade Mark team and other functions within the organisation developing and reviewing strategies, policies and guidelines.

About You
The ideal candidate is a 2 - 3 year PQE lawyer or dual qualified lawyer/ trade mark attorney practicing in trade marks. You ideally possess in-house trade mark experience, motivated by the opportunity to work within a long established highly collaborative team. You will enjoy a relatively non-hierarchical environment to develop your career at one of the world’s leading sports brands.
