COMPLIANCE LEGAL COUNSEL - MAJOR MEDIA COMPANY - 9 MONTHS
Our client - one of the world's leading media and entertainment companies - has instructed us to hire an experienced Legal Counsel to support the UK and EMEA business functions based out of their head offices in Central London, ideally to start within the next 6 weeks. This role will be an initial 9 month contract on a full time or part time basis (3 days a week).
Reporting into the Senior Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs, you will be required to implement and manage the company's compliance policies across multiple jurisdictions and provide legal assistance to the channels business in UK and EMEA. Key responsibilities include monitoring and reporting on compliance with all policies related to the company's Code of Conduct and any relevant aspects pertaining to Joint Ventures, as well as ensuring the adherence to anti-trust policies and providing internal compliance training and reviews within the business.
The successful candidate will also be responsible for ad hoc drafting, reviewing and advising on various agreements including channel distribution agreements, advertising and marketing agreement and general commercial contracts.
The successful candidate will be a qualified lawyer with experience in legal drafting and negotiations, and compliance and/or risk management. This role would be well-suited to a lawyer with at least 5 years PQE* in either of these capacities. Experience within the media or entertainment sectors would be preferable but not mandatory. The ideal candidate would be immediately available to interview, as the preferred start date is within the 6 weeks.
