Our client is seeking a lawyer with a noteworthy in-house track record gained in a multi-jurisdictional environment, including the UK.

This is a key role reporting directly to the Vice President of Legal – EMEA.

Our client’s legal team is a trusted business partner and works closely with all business functions in the EMEA region.  The ideal candidate will have a high level of experience covering marketing, development and operations.  Their contribution will facilitate this leading global brands further growth and expansion.  Working at the heart of the European head office the ideal candidate will be experienced in working in an international environment.  They will relish taking on a variety of interesting and challenging matters and will play a key role in the overall business plan of the group.

Key criteria:

• A UK qualified lawyer with immaculate drafting and well-rounded commercial skills gained to a high level.
• A minimum of 5 years post qualified experience gained with international experience.
• Hospitality, travel, leisure, services or related sector background/secondment experience is an advantage. 
• Franchise experience or an interest in franchising.
• Detailed and meticulous drafting, advising and reviewing skills covering a wide variety of commercial contracts.
• Particular skills in advising on all aspects of marketing, data protection/privacy and sales matters.
• Focus on legal compliance and reduction of risk.
• Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills - ability to communicate effectively at all levels both externally and internally.
• Providing trusted, proactive and pragmatic legal expertise.
• An excellent academic record.
• A second European language such as German of French would be an advantage.
