12 month contract - Construction Lawyer - US Law Firm
A US Law Firm are looking for a construction lawyer to join their London team for a period of up to 12 months. The role is to start imminently.
The construction team advises on a broad range of sectors within the industry including transport, infrastructure, energy and real estate across contentious and non-contentious matters.
The interim associate would be working on complex and high-value international and domestic disputes as well as advising on isolated legal issues. A high level of experience and knowledge of all major standard forms of contract, to include JCT, NEC and FIDIC as well as all forms of dispute resolution including litigation, arbitration, adjudication and expert determination is required.
Whilst a significant proportion of the caseload will focus on contentious construction matters, some non-contentious work will arise to involve the drafting and negotiating construction contracts on major building projects in the UK as well as providing construction advice on major domestic and overseas infrastructure projects.
Successful candidates must have a strong construction law background obtained from reputable private practices and be able to work without supervision.
Foreign qualified candidates are also encouraged to apply providing a strong construction law background can be demonstrated.
