Corporate Associate, Leeds

An award-winning legal firm is seeking to recruit an Associate or Senior Associate Solicitor to join its Corporate team based in Leeds.

The firm is a leading legal business with a strong reputation for excellent client service and has over 20 offices strategically placed around the globe.

The firm's Corporate team deal with mergers and acquisitions, Private equity transactions, Flotations, Joint ventures, Reorganisations, Takeovers, Compliance advice, Corporate governance, Shareholder agreements and Overseas transactions.

The main function of this corporate role based in Leeds will be to demonstrate technical and commercial expertise and the ability to deliver results within required timeframes in order to provide the highest service level to external clients, whilst demonstrating and communicating a clear understanding of business needs and changes to internal clients. Other fundamental duties of the role will be:

• Understand client requirements and manage cases in line with service level agreements and best practice;

• Analyse risk and further develop sound judgement enabling the justification of decisions to clients internally and externally;

• Prioritise work effectively and to maximise efficiency in working practices;

• Understand individual role in the context of the practice group and pro-actively seek to contribute to increased efficiency in developing a case load appropriate to level of technical, legal knowledge;

• Build working relationships internally and externally in order to develop business networks and create a solid understanding of the firm's direction and client needs;

• Develop increased levels of technical and commercial knowledge via training or supervised working practices.

Based in Leeds, this corporate associate opportunity is for an individual with up to 6 years' PQE*, experience of working within a busy commercial environment and handling a varied caseload. The successful candidate will be a team player with strong communication skills and attention to detail.
