Court of Protection Lawyer

We are recruiting for a Court of Protection Lawyer to join the Birmingham office of one of the country's leading regional law firms. The firm has an exceptional reputation across a number of practice areas as well as award winning individual lawyers. They are forward thinking and progressive about how they develop their staff and are always looking to cultivate their talent.

In this role you will work under the supervision of a leading Court of Protection lawyer. You will manage a busy and varied caseload for clients who lack capacity. The team deal with some elderly care issues but predominantly the clients have been victims of catastrophic injuries or illnesses. As such, client care is of the utmost importance and you will be able to have challenging but empathetic conversations not just with clients but with their families and care providers among others.

You will be responsible for supporting the client in the managing of their assets and financial affairs. This will include deputyship issues and private trusts, gifts and powers of attorneys. You will ensure that the needs of the client are being well met and that their affairs are looked after. You will liaise heavily with the wider Private Client team and the Personal Injury teams.

This is a challenging, fast moving but very rewarding area of law. The firm are looking for individuals with ambition and drive who want to grab opportunities for progression and promotion.
