Job Details

Are you seeking an opportunity to progress with the leading UK and International practice, that is dynamic, forward-thinking and ahead of the curve? This is a unique opportunity where you will deal with both Contentious and Non-Contentious work.

The firm

This multi-award-winning practice is ranked in the Top 50; this firm culturally stands apart from other City practices, they are incredibly entrepreneurial, creative and offer a level of flexibility to staff which is unheard of for firms of a similar size. Despite their size, they have a human feel throughout the practice. They invest heavily in their staff; they impressively have over 150 ranked Lawyers in the Chambers guide and due to continued growth; they can offer strong prospects.

The role is to be based in the heart of the City of London; however, they have a network of offices throughout Europe and the Middle East. The firm is known globally for their extensive network of ultra HNW individuals and privately and publicly owned businesses. The practice is multi-service, but they are particularly well-known for their wealth management services and offer a refreshing alternative to the larger, more conventional business law firms.

The role

The firm is seeking to recruit Construction Associate Solicitor into their City of London office.

The Construction and Real Estate departments lies at the heart of the firm, they are Top Tier in the Legal 500. The department deals with a wide range of business sectors but with an emphasis on real estate developers, property investment companies, contractors and major engineering consultancies. Core non-contentious legal services include advising on all forms of construction and engineering contracts and associated documentation, insurance agreements and related financial security (such as bonds, guarantees and letters of credit).

You will deal with an excellent quality of work; the varied nature of the caseload will make for a more interesting role, this will include both Contentious and Non-Contentious work. Typically most Lawyers at some stage specialise in one or the other, but the firm believe the mix of experience gives Lawyers a good grounding at the mid-level.

The role comes with good prospects for progression, including a training contract.

Requirements

  • You will be a Construction Lawyer with between 2-6 years PQE
  • If you come from either background, contentious or non-contentious, do apply as the department will be able to work around your strengths
  • You will have good technical knowledge
  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Salary is very competitive, and above market rate, you will also receive an industry leading benefits package
