Ogier’s Corporate and Funds team in Guernsey

Our Guernsey Corporate and Funds team is a diverse team of lawyers from a range of backgrounds, who have previously been admitted in jurisdictions around the world and who have trained and worked in The City, the regions and internationally. 

We work with high calibre clients, intermediaries and service providers, providing a full corporate and funds legal advice service.

Recent deals our team has advised on include

• The launch of a £202m Guernsey fund investing in songs  and music IP rights admitted to the LSE
• The €409m sale of Generali Worldwide Insurance  Company Limited 
• Formation, fundraising and initial acquisition by a Guernsey Private Investment Fund focusing on real estate assets

​The candidate we’re looking for 

We’re particularly interested in candidates with at least five years’ PQE, who can act independently and take responsibility but enjoy working as part of the wider team.

Our geographically varied client-base means travel is essential - our partners are looking for someone who can both manage matters in their absence and join them on business development trips and client meetings.

Funds experience will be a bonus in this funds-focused role, but those with a broad corporate background and an interest in developing funds expertise are encouraged to apply. 

Strong academics and experience are important, with a minimum 2:1 degree (or international equivalent) and a career history at firms that are well-respected in a Common Law jurisdiction.
