This elite City firm has a leading derivatives and structured products practice. The team covers a broad range of DSP work, including derivatives linked to all asset classes, stock-lending and repos, margin lending and prime brokerage. Clients are a mix of leading global financial institutions, multinational corporates and private equity sponsors.

The team is looking for a derivatives lawyer to join them in a senior capacity and it will suit someone who has decided that they do not want to pursue partnership but wish to be recognised as a key senior member of the team.  The firm is able to pay extremely generously for this role and for the right candidate, they can offer a higher than average salary for typical Counsel positions.

Your role will involve being a key contact point within the firm for a number of key derivatives products, in particular for our buy-side clients and you will play a strategic role in the team’s offering to the firm’s sponsor and corporate clients.  You will manage high work flows and run transactions with a small team of associates/trainees

You will be a senior lawyer, working in a leading City practice, who has gathered a wealth of OTC derivatives experience, in particular with respect to the use of derivatives in wider corporate and financing transactions, as well the regulation of OTC derivatives.  You will be a self starter with intellectual curiosity and a hunger to learn.
