A boutique alternative investments firm is looking to expand its legal team with the addition of a junior banking lawyer. This is a new position required to support a more senior lawyer who is currently independently advising a side of the business which deals in a varied portfolio of assets, with a wide range of values. This will include loan documentation and related securities, as you almost exclusively support the debt financing team. Some experience in development finance when dealing with framework agreements, tenders, panels of lenders, block discounting, stock financing, asset-backed lending and mezzanine finance will be an advantage.  You will be required deal with some legal matters outside of pure transactional work such as drafting contracts and general in-house legal advice as well as potentially supporting other areas of the business on transactional venture capital work.

As part of a small team sitting directly with the business you will need to be strong at relationship building and create trust amongst the colleagues you are supporting. A junior lawyer from newly qualified up to around 3 years will be considered for this role but intellect, values and motivations will also be taken into consideration. You should be trained at a top City law firm and have a confident and friendly nature.
