A leading organisation in Guildford is looking to recruit a temporary In-house lawyer to join their in-house legal team.

Our client is a leading aerospace business. A rare opportunity has now arisen to join their highly regarded in-house legal team for a minimum of 6 months.

A qualified Solicitor or Barrister with a minimum of 6 years PQE, your experience will be ideally within in the aerospace and defence industry however experience in commercial and/or procurement law would also be an advantage.

The role has a wide remit and you will predominantly focus on drafting and negotiating high value commercial contracts and advising on terms to subcontractors. Providing timely advice to senior management, commercial, project management and procurement teams on a variety of legal topics. Evaluating risks regarding business decisions and operations. Identifying compliance and governance issues. Assessing multiple inputs and impacts with a variety of stakeholders.

You will be an outstanding communicator, with the skills and gravitas to build effective relationships internally and externally and gain credibility across the business. The role will suit an individual with a strong work ethic - who wishes to widen their experience portfolio.

Exposure to DEFCONS and public procurement rules and previous experience in reviewing agreements for the provision of satellite services and advising on issues arising would be beneficial but not essential.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a high-profile and progressive business. The role is to start in January for a minimum of 6 months.

This role can be based out of Guildford, Newcastle or Leicester offices. Some travel to other sites is required.
