In House – Senior Legal Counsel – Trade Finance Lawyer – 5 +pqe – London
  
Our client is a leading FinTech provider of independent alternative financial services. Based in London, or client works with clients all over the world across industries and sectors.  They are looking to expand their talented legal team with an enthusiastic senior trade finance lawyer with 5-10 years’ experience in this sector, some preferably in house.
  
You will be a key member of a tight knit and collegiate legal team and report directly into the General Counsel. You will provide support in all of the general activities relating to a transaction-focused function. This broad role will require involvement in a range of legal and commercial matters including general commercial contracts, corporate/M&A, supply chain finance and/or trade receivables securitisation as well as governance matters.  The role will include the drafting, review and negotiation of transaction documents, engagement letters, term sheets, service/vendor agreements, PE documentation and strategic alliance/partnership agreements, as required.  Other matters to advise on may be ad hoc legal matters, regulatory compliance matters  and liaising with expert external counsel.
  
You will work closely with the GC and key stakeholders for this legal  and strategic role. The work will be truly cross border (across EMEA and APAC) and may involve the instruction  and management of external counsel in a variety of jurisdictions.
